Product usage
Use
Filling the frying tank
Press the lid release button to open the lid.
Remove the frying basket by pulling it upwards.
Fill the frying tank with a good amount of oil.
The oil level must sit between the MIN and MAX marks (indicated on the inside of the tank).
WARNING
Do not turn the fryer on when there is no oil or very little
oil in the tank.
Frying-suitable oil and fat
Only use high temperature-resistant, neutral-flavoured frying oil or fat (vegetable in both
cases), which can be heated up to approx. 220 °C. Palm oil, hydrogenated vegetable oils/
fats, refined oils (corn, soybean and sunflower oil), etc. are suitable. However, unrefined,
cold-pressed fats or oils, such as extra-virgin olive oil, butter and margarine are unsuitable.
WARNING
Never mix different types of fat and oil, or add new oil/
fat to used oil/fat.
Should you decide to use frying fat, cut it into small pieces and melt it in a saucepan over
a low heat. Once melted, fill the deep fryer with the fat. The frying tank must be dry when
filling it with melted fat.
The solid fat can be stored at room temperature inside the closed fryer. Before reheating
the fat in the deep fryer, poke holes in it to prevent the fat from splashing. Take care not
to damage the frying tank. Close the lid and then heat the fat over a low heat.
Risk of fire! Cooking fat and oil can catch fire at very high temperatures.
Should the oil or fat catch fire, immediately disconnect the power plug. Never pour water
onto oil/fat that is hot or has caught fire. Close the fryer lid if it is safe to do so. You can
try to smother the flames with a fire blanket or firefighting foam.
