 Check the chain for sufficient sharpness, if neces-
sary, invert the guide rail or replace the chain (see
Chapter Replacing the chain).
 Check the device for damage.
 Check all pins, nuts and screws for tightness.
Adjusting the chain tension
1. With the Multi-Tool assembled, remove the battery
pack (see Multi-Tool MT 36 Bp operating instruc-
tions).
2. Release the guide rail nut.

3. Adjust the chain tension with the screw.

4. Check the chain tension.

The distance between the guide rail and the chain
must be 4,0 mm.
5. Tighten the guide rail nut.

Replacing the chain
1. Remove the guide rail nut.

2. Loosen the screw to adjust the chain tension
3. Remove the bar cover.

4. Remove the guide rail.
5. Dispose of the old chain professionally.
6. Fit the new chain on the guide rail.

7. Mount the guide rail. Pay attention to the running di-
rection of the chain.

8. Mount the bar cover, loosely fastening the guide rail
nut.

9. Adjust the chain tension (see Chapter Adjusting the
chain tension).
As the battery pack ages, even if it is looked after, its ca-
pacity reduces such that the full run time will no longer
be reached when fully charged. This does not indicate a
defect.
Rectification
 Remove the clippings.
 Stop working and allow the motor to cool
down.
 Clean the shaft ends of adhering dirt.
 Only place the accessories on clean sur-
faces.

The total vibration values given and the noise emission
values given were measured according to a standard
test procedure and can be used to compare one tool
with another. The declared total vibration values and the
declared noise emission values can also be used for a
preliminary exposure assessment.
