CAUTION: Because of different plants making this vehicle, the holes in the frame will vary position. Drilling hole in frame may be required.
1. Remove plastic plugs in bottom of vehicle frame rail on both sides. Return to owner after installation.
To identify if drilling is required, loosely install center attachment and see if frame holes line up. Install 1-1/2" x 3" block with 1/2" carriage bolt on top of

vehicle tow hook as shown above and install washer and nut.
If holes don't align, use hitch as a template and drill ½" holes in frame.

Insert bolt leaders through 7/8" x 3" blocks and then screw on to 7/16" carriage bolts. Push bolt leaders with bolts and blocks up through 1" diameter holes in

vehicle frame and pull back down leaving bolt leaders screwed on to bolts. If holes were drilled, use 1" access hole to install bolt and block.
5. Unscrew bolt leaders and install conical washers and nuts as shown above both sides
6. Center hitch on vehicle and tighten all fasteners to specifications below.
Tighten 7/16"-14 nuts with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft.(68N*M) and 1/2"-13 nut to 75Lb.-Ft. (102N*M).
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
