Connect wire to vehicle
INSTALLATION AND PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS
Connector 1 (Black):
Make 3 to 4 loops around the ignition barrel.
(Secure the wire with tie-wrap.)
Connector 2 (White):
Connect the red wire to 12V constant.
Connect the black wire to "Ground out when
running".
Hook up the SCAN TOOL
Follow instructions on SCAN TOOL
display for keys programming
procedure (teaching procedure).
Place the PATS KIA 1 transponder
(show on Pats label) close and
toward the front of the ignition barrel
for the next 2 steps.
With the help of a jumper wire,
power up vehicle ignition.
Follow instructions on SCAN TOOL.

IMPORTANT : The PATS KIA 1can only be
programmed once.
Once the PATS KIA 1 is programmed, it can't be
programmed or used on any other vehicle.
OUTPUT
Ignition
Remove jumper wire
Remove PATS-KIA 1 module.
ALL
Make sure all other keys still working.
Connect PATS KIA 1 module.
Start vehicle with remote starter.
The module PATS KIA 1 is now
programmed.
