Maintenance
Regular and exceptional maintenance
IMPORTANT!
Observing the time intervals mentioned below can help to keep the purchased product in perfect condition. Check the awning
fabric thoroughly twice a year, before and after the summer season, for tears or damage to the seams: in spring before the start
of the summer season, and in autumn before storing for the winter. Once a year before the summer season. Lubricate the moving
parts with silicone oil:
• The shaft mounts of the drop arms
• The shaft mount of the awning shaft
All maintenance work must be carried out by qualified professionals. If the clamp awning or parts of it need to be dismantled, see
the installation and assembly instructions. Use only original replacement parts, otherwise the warranty will be void.
To order replacement parts, please contact your dealer.
Observe the maintenance instructions and maintenance intervals.
Inspect the clamp awning regularly, at least once a year before first use, for signs of wear or damage to the fabric and frame.
The clamp awning requires little maintenance. Check the following points:
• ALL fastening screws are tightly secured.
• The safety screws are tightly secured (to prevent the clamp awning from slipping out or loosening).
• The drop arms are tightly secured.
• The safety screws on the drop arms are tightly secured.
• Loosened mounting elements can be readjusted by the user.
• Lubricate the moving parts once a year before the summer season.
• If damage is detected, your specialist dealer or a suitable service company must be commissioned to carry out repairs,
e.g. replacement of parts, fabric or drive.
Do not operate a clamp awning that is in need of repair.
CAUTION! All regular or exceptional maintenance must be carried out under strictly safe conditions. Carefully read the chapter
"Safety" on page 8 before first use of the clamp awning. Due to the high quality of the materials used, the clamp awning does not
require any special regular maintenance, apart from any cleaning of the fabric to prevent mould formation due to the accumula-
tion of dust or other materials; see also the chapter "Cleaning". This process can be done with the aid of a vacuum cleaner or with
a sponge/cloth and lukewarm water. Allow the fabric to dry thoroughly after cleaning.
CAUTION! Do not use ammonia or hydrocarbon solvents. Roll up the clamp awning, stopping just before the end. Clean the part
not rolled up (approx. 20 cm) and the overhang with a vacuum cleaner or other appliance with an extension tube so that a ladder
is not needed (also observe the following instructions for the fabric).
Clean the exposed side of the awning fabric from below. Then unroll the awning by another 10-15 cm and clean the new section.
Continue in the same way until the entire awning fabric is cleaned.
