Description of the LG 1480 Battery Charger - English

Description:
The LG 1480 battery charger is a processor-controlled charger and tester for up to 4 batteries with built-in SMBus
electronics.
Any combination of Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion, 10.8 V) and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH, 12 V) batteries can be inserted.
The charger communicates with the batteries via the SMBus. After the battery is inserted into the charger slot, the charger
automatically checks whether the battery requires charging only or a complete test cycle (conditioning).
The test cycle performs various charge and discharge cycles to measure and optimize the battery capacity, and recalibrate
the SMBus electronics. When the test cycle is complete, the battery is ready to use. The status of the battery capacity is
indicated by the Test-LED (please refer to the table on the next page).
The test cycle can be started or stopped manually for any battery by pressing its respective
