Abrasion pads
A length of "D" gasket has been supplied. This will be cut into 3

pieces. Measure the distance between the abrasion pads
placed in step 4. The gasket should butt against the edge of
the abrasion pad on each end. Cut it to length. Take the
remainder of the gasket and cut it into 2 equal lengths. These
will be attached outboard of the abrasion pads. The gasket is
applied at the leading edge of the hood. Peel back a short
length of backing and set the gasket in place. Continue peeling
and pressing into place. Place carefully as the adhesive is very
strong and is very difficult to remove once it has been set in
place.

Placez-le avec soin car l'adhésif est très fort et est très difficile
à enlever une fois qu'il a été mis en place.

Set the hood protector in place and assemble the four pieces of
a hood edge clip (see illustrations) and loosely attach it to the
edge of the hood. Repeat for the other side. Ensure the hood
protector is centered and tighten the screws into the clips. Note,
the illustrations are generic and are intended to show how the
hood edge clip is assembled.
Avec le protecteur de capot en place, assemblez les quatre
morceaux du corps du clip (voir illustrations) et attachez-le
lâchement au bord du capot. Assurez-vous que le capot est
centré et serrez les vis dans les clips.

Once hood protector is centered, take a felt marker (a fine
point Sharpie works best) and insert it into the hole in each of
the "pockets" of the hood protector. Keeping the marker
perpendicular to the hood surface, mark the hood surface with
a dot. ***NOTE- IF YOUR HOOD HAS PAINT PROTECTION
FILM, A PERMANENT MARKER MAY STAIN THE FILM.
USE A DRY-ERASE MARKER OR A GREASE PENCIL.***
Prenez un marqueur de feutre (un point fin Sharpie fonctionne
mieux) et insérez-le dans le trou dans chacune des "poches"
dans le protecteur de capot. Garder le repère perpendiculaire
à la surface de la poche, marquer la surface du capot avec un
point. ***REMARQUE - SI VOTRE CAPUCHON A UN FILM
DE PROTECTION DE PEINTURE, UN MARQUEUR
PERMANENT PEUT MANQUER LE FILM. UTILISEZ UN
MARQUEUR D'EFFACEMENT SEC OU UN LENTILLE A
