OPERATION
Charge the internal rechargeable battery completely before first-time use.
Verify that your mobile device's connection values correspond with the
product's connection values (see technical data).
Do not short-circuit the USB connections.
The product is suitable for outdoor use only with the cover flap closed. With
the cover flap open, the product is suitable for use in indoor spaces only.
a) Charging the internal rechargeable battery
1. Open the cover flap.
2. Connect the Micro-USB plug to the Micro-USB port.
3. Connect the USB-A plug to a free USB port on your computer or a suitable USB power
adapter.
4. The internal rechargeable battery is now charging.
5. As soon as the internal rechargeable battery is fully charged, all 4 LEDs of the charge
status indicator light up permanently.
6. Disconnect the cable from the product and the power supply as soon as the rechargeable
battery is fully charged. The product is now ready for use.
For infrequent use, we recommend fully charging the internal rechargeable battery once
every three months to maintain maximum performance.

If only the last of the 4 LEDs is on, the capacity of the internal rechargeable battery is
below 25 %. In this case, recharge the internal rechargeable battery.
b) Charging a mobile device
1. Open the cover flap.
2. Connect the USB-A plug to the USB-A port.
3. Connect the Micro-USB plug to the mobile device. Charging begins automatically. Press
the on/off switch if charging does not begin automatically.
4. Monitor the charging process. Once the charging has been completed, disconnect the
cable from the product and the mobile device. The product turns off automatically once the
mobile device is fully charged.

When charging a mobile device, the charge status of the internal rechargeable battery
is displayed when charging begins.
c) LED light
Press the on/off switch twice to turn the LED light on/off.
d) Attaching compass and snap hook
1. Thread the strap through the eyelet.
2. Thread the end of the strap above the eyelet through the metal ring.
3. Attach the compass to the end of the strap.
4. Open the snap hook and insert it through the end of the strap.
Failure to attach the snap hook poses the risk that the compass may be
damaged due to falling.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Disconnect the cable from the product before cleaning.
• There are no components located inside the product you need to maintain. Never open/
dismantle the product.
• To clean the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. Do not apply too much
pressure to the housing to prevent scratching.
• You can easily remove dust using a long-haired, soft and clean brush.
DISPOSAL
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
The built-in rechargeable battery must be disposed of by a specialist.
b) Rechargeable battery
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used rechargeable
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that

disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals
involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on rechargeable

batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).

municipality, our stores or wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
