1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove the covering in the boot.
Clear the entrance to both rearlight units.
2.
Drill a 11 mm large hole underneath both rearlight units.
Carefully remove all metal splinters and threat the edges with an anti-corrosion paint.
Put the rubber grommets in the holes.
3.
The wiring harness is put in the boot.
Lead the 5-pole end with a.o. the green wire through the grommet at the right side to the socket.
Lead the 5-pole end with a.o. the yellow wire through the grommet at the left side to the socket.
(Careful. Hot exhaust!!)
Pull the coverplate over the two ends.
Remove the contact holder from the socket and fit the wires as follows:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Earth
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Rearfoglight
Mount the socket to the towbar.
4.
On both rearlightunits connectors are located.
Disconnect the connectors at the right side.
Connect the connectors of the wiring harness with the grey, green, blue, brown and red wire correspondingly.
Disconnect the connectors at the left side.
Connect the connectors of the wiring harness with the grey, black, blue and yellow wire correspondingly.
Fit the white wire to chassis earth.
5.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
