1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove the covering in the boot.
Clear the entrance to both rearlight units.
2.
Drill a 13 mm large hole in the back of the boot just behind the socketplate of the towbar.
Carefully remove all metal particles and threat the edges with an anti-corrosion paint.
Put the grommet in the hole.
3.
Lead the wiring harness in the boot.
Lead the 8-pole end through the grommet to the socket.
Pull the rubber coverplate over the wiring harness.
Remove the contactholder from the socket and fit the wires as indicated below:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Earth
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Rearfoglight
Mount the socket to the towbar.
4.
At both rearlight units 8-pole connectors are located.
Disconnect the connector at the left hand side.
Connect the wiring harnesses connectors with the red, black, blue, yellow and grey wire at the left hand side.
Disconnect the connector at the right hand side.
Connect the wiring harnesses connectors with the brown, green and grey wire at the right hand side.
Fit the white wire to chassis earth.
5.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
