MEGA 360 ICE ADAPTER Installation Guide
Overview
The MEGA 360 ICE Adapter kit provides a mounting capability to use your MEGA 360 Imaging transducer
on the ice. The adapter kit includes a handle for the MEGA 360, an ice adapter base, two adjustable
depth collars, and screws for mounting a heading sensor (not included).
NOTE: Compatible with HELIX 8, 9, and 10 G3N models.

| Installing the MEGA 360 ICE Adapter Kit

Use the following instructions to ice mount the MEGA 360 Imaging transducer.
CAUTION! Handle the MEGA 360 pod with care. Store the MEGA 360 Imaging transducer in a safe
place to prevent unnecessary impact.
NOTE: You must first un-install the MEGA 360 Imaging transducer from its previous mounting
configuration and disconnect the power cable and transducer cable before performing the
instructions described in this guide.
1. Slide one of the depth collars over the cables and pod shaft.
2. Slide the ice adapter base over the cables and pod shaft.
3. Slide the second depth collar over the cables and pod shaft.
4. Vertically adjust the height of the ice adapter base to the desired position.
a. Slide the bottom depth collar to the desired position, and close the lever arm to lock the
depth collar into position.
b. Slide the top depth collar down to secure the ice adapter base to the desired height, and
close the lever arm to lock the depth collar into position.
NOTE: The MEGA 360 pod must be submerged below the ice.
NOTE: Periodically check that the adjustable depth collars are secure and tighten with a Phillips
screwdriver if necessary.
5. Slide the handle clamp over the cables and pod shaft.
6. Place the screw through the counterbore hole in the handle clamp and screw on the handle.
Hand-tighten only.
TIP: Orient the handle so that it is parallel with the front of the transducer.
| Connecting the Heading Sensor (optional)

Use the following instructions to mount a heading sensor to your MEGA 360 ICE adapter base.
1. Align the heading sensor's screw holes over the screw holes on the ice adapter base.
2. Attach the heading sensor to the ice adapter base using the included #6 - 7/8" (22 mm) screws.
Do not overtighten.
