1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove the left rear foglight.
Remove the covering at the lefthand side in the boot, behind which the jack is located.
2.
At the lefthand side in the back of the boot a grommet is located.
Make a hole in this grommet.
3.
Lead the connectors with the 6-pole connectors, the white wire and the brown/white wire through the grommet in the boot.
Lead the part of the wiring harness with the yellow, green, brown and black wires to the socket.
Lead the 4-pole connectors with the green and brown wires to the right rearlight.
Lead the 4-pole connectors with the black, red and yellow wires to the left rearlight.
(Careful. Hot exhaust!)
Tie both wiring harnesses underneath the vehicle with the supplied wire ties.
Pull the rubber coverplate over the wiring harness.
Remove the contactholder from the socket and fit the wires as indicated:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Rearfoglight
Earth 1-8
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Reverse light
Battery supply
Earth 9-13
Mount the socket to the towbar.

At the left- and righthand side in the bumper 4-pole connectors are located. Disconnect these connectors.
Connect the connectors with the green and brown wires at the righthand side.
Connect the connectors with the yellow, red and black wires at the lefthand side.
5.
Connecting the rearfoglight and the reverse light:
In the left rearlight unit a 6-pole connector for the rearfoglight and the reverse light is located.
Disconnect this connector and connect the connectors with the black/red, blue and grey wire between this connector.
Fit the eye with both white wires with a self tapping screw at the lefthand side near the jack.

Grand Vitara 5-D and 3-D: At the lefthand side in the boot a accessory junction point is located.
Remove the 1-pole connector of this junction point.
Connect the 1-pole connectors of the wiring harness with the brown/white wires correspondingly.
Insulate the 1-pole housing with the supplied heatshrinkable tube.
Grand Vitara Cabriolet: Lead the brown/white wire from the battery through the interior in the boot. Be aware of sharp parts!
Fit the ringtongue to the + pole. Fit the fuse and cover.
Remove the 1 pole connector of the wiring harness with the brown/white wires.
Connect the 1 pole connector of the brown/white wire with the 1 pole connector of the wiring harness.
7.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
