DAS VORBILD
In den 1920er Jahren baute Baldwin
zwei moderne Mallet-Lokomotiven
für die Uintah Railway in Utah und
Colorado. Bis heute sind diese Loks
unübertroffen die größten Schmal-
spur-Lokomotiven, die je in den USA
fuhren. Als die Uintah Railway stillge-

zugkräftigen Mallets zur Sumpter
Valley Railway, die im Osten Oregons
zum Transport von land- und forst-
wirtschaftlichen Gütern diente. Die
