OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The Quad Pod utilizes a locking mechanism for leg angle adjustment,
height adjustment and for the Clamp Grip Attachment. This mechanism
has two types of actions: a tighten/loosen action and a locking action. To
lock/unlock the mechanism, pull it back to release and cinch it down to
lock. To tighten/loosen the locking strength of the mechanism, rotate it in
the desired direction.
Leg Angle Adjustment – To adjust the leg angle of the Quad Pod,
unlock the mechanism on the collar at the top of the legs and then slide
the collar up to reduce the leg angle or down to increase the leg angle,
remembering to lock the mechanism when the desired leg angle is
reached.
Height Adjustment –To adjust the working height of the Quad Pod,
unlock the mechanism on the top collar and slide the height control bar
up or down as needed, remembering to lock the mechanism when the
desired height is reached.
Clamp Grip Jaw Adjustment – The clamp grip jaw can be opened /
closed by locking or unlocking the mechanism. When placing a light into
the clamp grip, orient it to optimally conform to the grip dimension and
then lock the mechanism to secure it in place. When gripping items of
different diameters or thicknesses, the clamp grip may require adjust-
ment to achieve a proper grip. As noted above, rotate the mechanism to
tighten/loosen the grip opening to match the item to be mounted.
Clamp Grip Depth Adjustment – The clamp grip can be adjusted to
move the gripped light (or bar – see below) closer or farther away from
the Quad Pod. To adjust the distance, turn the adjustment knob counter-
clockwise to unlock the distance bar and push forward or backward as
desired. Once the desired distance is achieved, turn the adjustment knob
clockwise to lock the bar in place.
