DAMAGED EQUIPMENT AND ADD-ONS
Any jack stand that appears to be damaged, is found to be worn or operates abnormally in any
way will be removed from service and destroyed immediately.
Alterations
Because of potential hazards associated with this type of equipment, no alterations shall be made
to the product.
Attachments and Adapters
Only attachments and/or adapters supplied by the manufacturer shall be used.
SETUP
• Prior to each use, visual inspection (See page 7) shall be made to the device by checking for
abnormal conditions, such as cracked welds, damaged, loose or missing parts.
• Consult the vehicle owner's manual to determine the location of support points.
• Be sure to set the vehicle in park with the emergency brake on and wheels securely chocked.
• Be sure that the vehicle and the jack stands are on a hard, level surface.
ASSEMBLY
• Insert ratchet bar into collar.
• Lift ratchet bar upward to ensure the ratchet and locking pawl positively engage at each and
every position.
• To lower, lift the handle, disengage the locking pawl from the ratchet bar and slowly move the
ratchet bar down.
• Use a hammer and punch to bend the locking tab inward (3 & 6 Ton). This will prevent the
ratchet bar from accidentally coming loose.
• For 12 Ton jack stands, tighten the provided hex bolt into the collar to prevent the loss of the
ratchet bar (See next page for details).
OPERATION
1. For correct stability choose a hard and flat surface.
2. Engage the hand brake and put the vehicle into gear.
3. Adjust the ratchet bar to the desired height, and lock it with the locking handle.
4. Secure the jack stand with the safety pin.
5. Jack up your vehicle as specified by the manufacturer.
6. Centre the load over the saddle of the jack stand. It is advisable to leave the jack in place
when the weight of the vehicle is supported by the jack stand.
7. To remove the jack stand, jack the vehicle up again, pull the jack stand free, then lower the
vehicle to the ground.
8. Protect the jack stands from corrosion by cleaning them thoroughly. Do not apply oils or
lubricants to any portion of this product
MAINTENANCE
Inspect each stand before use. Ensure all parts move freely. Only apply grease to the locking
handle pivot point of this product and ensure all excess grease is wiped away before stand is used.
If rust appears, sand away the rust area and cover with appropriate utility paint. Please note that
there are no replacement parts available for this product.
