Safety instructions
The present document and also the Ex component boxes mentioned in it, may only be used by IDE
ELECTRIC, S.L. or by third-party companies that can provide the following:
- Their own "EC Type Examination Certificate" for complete apparatus in keeping with Annex III of
the Directive 2014/34/UE, granted by an ExNB and which covers electrical equipment based on the
Ex component boxes indicated in the present instructions, and
- That additionally are in possession of the appropriate "Quality Notification" of the production processes
of this complete electrical equipment in keeping with Annex VI or Annex VII of said Directive, or who...
- Submit the unit produced to an ExNB with the aim of obtaining a "Product Verification Certificate" in keeping
with Annex IX of the Directive.
• The equipment assembled in the Ex component boxes of this document must not be installed in Zones 0
or 20 hazardous areas.
• Changes in the design and modifications of these components are not permitted, unless they belong of the
EC Type Examination Certificate itself for complete electrical equipment.

Conformity with Standards
The TECNO series model ELATX eCAM boxes Ex components for explosive atmospheres are according
to the EN/IEC 60079-7 and EN/IEC 60079-31 Standards and have been partially tested as a component
in agreement with the mentioned standards, as well as with the essential safety requirements indicated
in EC Directive
"equipment and protection systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres"
2014/34/EU.
They have been designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the state of art and current
techniques which satisfy EN29001 (ISO9001).
These component boxes are suitable for use in explosive atmospheres in Zones 1 and 2 in
keeping with IEC 60079-7 and also in Zones 21 and 22 in keeping with IEC 60079-31!
