Operation
Switching the device on/off
To switch the thermometer on, keep
key ON/OFF (2) pressed for approx. 1
second.
The device performs a system test first,
displaying all segments used by this ther-
mometer model for approx. 1 second.
After the automatic test, the thermometer
switches to measuring mode and the first
measurement reading is displayed in °C.
The thermometer is now ready for use.
If an error message is displayed, please
refer to page 31, "What to do, if...".
To turn the device off, press the ON/
OFF key.

Activation/désactivation de
l'appareil
Pour allumer le thermomètre, la touche
ON/OFF (2) doit être pressée pendant
environ une seconde.
L'appareil réalise en premier lieu un test
du système, pendant lequel tous les seg-
ments employés selon le type de thermo-
mètre s'affichent pendant environ 1
seconde.
Après ce test automatique, le thermo-
mètre s'éteint en mode de mesure et la
première valeur mesurée en °C s'affiche.
Le thermomètre est maintenant prêt à
fonctionner.
Si un message d'erreur s'affiche, consultez
la page 31, «Que faire, quand... ».
Appuyez sur le bouton ON/OFF pour
éteindre l'appareil.
