3. Running an analysis

This chapter describes the step by step operations performed when
running the "EC-pH-Turbidity.xml" application provided. With this
description, you will be able to edit your own application changing the
rinse and sample pumping duration parameters in a way that you will not
affect the correct working order of your measurement system.
1. Electrode installation
TitraMaster 85 checks the electrode installations already done on
the workstation. If one installation is required, TitraMaster 85 displays
a screen prompting you to perform the operation on the workstation.
Press the Enter key on the PC or click OK in the TitraMaster 85
window. This action selects the installation command on the
workstation.
2. Offset compensation
In TitraMaster 85, click the
On the workstation:
- In the Electrode window, press key 5 Direct measurements.
- Select the electrode of the TPM870 application.
- Start measurements by pressing key 1.
Refer to the Turbidity meter User's Manual, chapter 6.1.3 "Adjusting
the minimum signal" and compensate for the offset in order to read a
~0 mV measurement.
3. Electrode calibration
The validity of the electrode calibrations are checked on the
workstation. If a calibration is required, TitraMaster 85 displays a
screen prompting you to start the calibration. Press Enter on the PC
or click OK in the TitraMaster 85 window. TitraMaster 85 starts the
calibration on the workstation. You are prompted to perform a few
operations (dip the electrodes, etc.). At the end of the calibration,
restart the application from the PC and TitraMaster 85
4. TitraMaster 85 runs the conductivity/pH/turbidity measurement
application for each sample beaker programmed. The application
supplied and duration adjustments done on the TPM870 allow to run
batches of up to 126 samples, 36 samples when using a sample
changer (maximum capacity of a SAC950 fitted with a 180 ml PP
beaker turntable). With the default adjustments, note that the
analysis of one sample lasts around
