6 Maintenance

Please note the following in connection with the cleaning of the
freezer:
Place the products from the freezer in a cold place or pack
them in insulating material.
The freezer should be switched off at the socket.
Keep the cover open or remove the sliding covers and place
them carefully on the floor.
The freezer can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild
detergent. It should then be washed with clean water.
Never use detergents that contain chlorine.
Never use pointed or sharp tools.
Clean the cover in the same way as the freezer.
If the freezer has a condenser with a fan at the bottom of the
freezer, dust and dirt may gather on the cooling element. If
cleaning is required, the power should be switched off, the metal
plate under the condenser removed and the cooling element
vacuum-cleaned with a soft brush.
Remove the metal plate as follows. Use a crosstip screw driver to
remove the four screws holding the cover plate.
Afterwards, remove the metal plate in order to reach the
condenser.
Be aware that the cooling element consists of sharp components
and may be hot to the touch.

7 Troubleshooting

If you experience any problems with your freezer, please check the
following before seeking assistance:
Is the plug inserted?
Is the socket switched on?
Is the fuse in the meter cabinet intact?
Has any fault current relay been disconnected?
Has there been a complete power failure?
8
If the freezer is very hot or air circulation is poor, you should
provide the necessary circulation.
If the condenser is not clean, it should be vacuum-cleaned. If you
have checked the above and the freezer is still not working, call a
service technician.
State the type of fault and appliance, serial number and item no.
(stated on the manufacturer's plate on the back of the freezer).
