Cleaning and care

Always unplug the appliance
The bamix is very easy to clean. Remove the attachment and

wash it separately. To clean the attachment, rinse the dirty parts
under running water (do not switch on the appliance).The easi-
est way to clean off bits of food which have stuck to the bamix
is to hold it in a jug with hot water and switch it on. Take care

The appliance and the cutter guard are not suitable
for cleaning in the dishwasher. If the appliance is
left in water too long, the cutter guard could be-
come corroded (black discolouration).
Important: Clean the appliance as soon as you have finished
working, to prevent the drive shaft or the attachment get-
ting clogged. If not in use, always remove the attachments
from the appliance.

drive shaft with 2-3 drops of oil and then run the appliance for
approx. 30 seconds. Then clean the shaft with hot water.

If the drive shaft of the appliance fails to rotate?
If the bamix is not used for a prolonged period of time, the

drive shaft might become stuck, or the attachment might slip
from the shaft stub, as the parts are clogged up by minute food
residue. Place the attachment for 5-10 minutes in a jug of hot or
boiling water. Then switch on the appliance. Normally, all parts
should now work perfectly again. If not, try to free the shaft
carefully with pliers.
