3. Place the base plate on the housing. Please use the guide
pin to fix it in place.
4. Screw the base plate together with the six fastening
screws (4).
5. Thread the cable into the recess provided on the base
plate.
6. Press the strain relief firmly into the position provided.
7. Attach the mains cable to the base plate with the two
screws (5).
8. Now turn the fan over and place it on a suitable solid
surface.

Remote Control

• Remove the remote control from the compartment on
the back of the device (Illustration B).
• The cordless remote control has a range of up to 10 me-
ters. When using the remote control, please ensure that
there are no obstacles placed between it and the sensor
on the device.
Inserting the Batteries
NOTE:
The button cells in the battery compartment of the remote
control have been secured for transport with a foil. This
prolongs the life of the batteries. Before initial use please
remove this foil so that the remote control is ready for
operation (Illustration C).
If the range of the remote control is reduced during use,
please proceed as follows:
1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the
remote control.
2. Replace the button cells by two batteries of the same
design (LR 41). Ensure correct polarity.
3. Then close the battery lid.

Putting into Service

Electrical Connection
1. Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that
the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device.
You can find this information on the nameplate.
2. Connect the device to a duly installed protective contact
socket.
Use
NOTE:
• The buttons are to be found both on the device itself
and on the remote control.
• For the meaning of the symbols please see the follow-
ing table.
NOTE:
• Every press of the buttons changes the function and is
confirmed by a sound.
• The device has a memory function: the last parameters
set are stored. When it is switched on again, the fan
starts up with the last settings.

Switching the Fan On and Off
Press the on / off button to switch the device on or off.
Speed
Select a power level for the blower between slow, medium
and fast.
Change of Wind Function
The device has two different wind strengths to simulate
breezes.
Electronic Timer
• If you would like to operate the device with the timer,
select a time setting between 2, 4 or 8 hours.
• At the end of the set time the fan shuts off automatically.
Oscillation
When you select this function the device oscillates automati-
cally within a range of approx. 80 degrees.
