PROGRAMMING THE STB-040

Once the IPTV receiver is installed, we can proceed with its configuration.
By default the STB-040 is shipped with a network configuration of DHCP and in interactive mode (ready to inter-
act with the ALCAD IPTV Solution server). Depending on the type of installation, the STB-040 will be configured
in interactive or non-interactive mode

Programming for Interactive mode installations:

With the IPTV server previously configured, turned on, and connected to the IPTV network:
• Connect the STB-040 to a switch in the IPTV network using an Ethernet cable.
• Connect the STB-040 to your TV via an HDMI cable.
• Turn on the TV.
• Turn on STB-040.
• Follow steps on screen to register the STB-040 in ALCAD IPTV Solution system with the remote control (REM-214).
Alternatively, you can register the STB-040 directing in the web interface of ALCAD IPTV Solution Manager.
Although not absolutely necessary, you can access the STB-040 using a web browser to set and review param-
eters. After registering the STB-040, you can find out the IP of the STB-040 in the IPTV Manager. Refer to next
section for options available for additional settings.

Programming Noninteractive mode installations

Since STB-040 is preconfigured from the factory in DHCP and in interactive mode, the configuration must be
performed in local mode with remote control (REM-214). Subsequently, you can access the IPTV receiver via the
LAN to reprogram or check operating status.
• Connect the STB-040 to the TV by HDMI cable.
• Turn on the TV.
• Turn on the STB-040.
