DOUBLE-INSULATED TOOLS

In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of
grounding.
No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a
means for grounding be added to the appliance.

EXTENSION CORD USAGE

Extension cords are not recommended for use with this wet/dry vacuum. Extension
cords must be UL listed and use a minimum of 18 A.W.G. wiring. Extension cords
should never exceed 25 feet in length. Extension cords, that are too long, cause a
voltage drop over the extra distance causing the wet/dry vacuum motor to run slow-
er with the possibility of causing damage to the motor. Using extension cords with
smaller than the recommended wire gauge run the risk of getting too hot, melting,
and/or causing fires. See table, "Extension Cord Specifications", on page 17.
IMPORTANT: Some of the following symbols may be used on your tool. Please
study them and learn their meaning. Proper interpretation of these symbols will
allow you to operate the tool better and safer.
