Hose Assembly

TARGA VACUUMS
Targa Vacuums

With the bundle hose cover over your hand, grasp hose cuff and female end of power cable. Slide hose cover along entire length
of hose.

Adjust power cable position so that male end of power cable extends 14" beyond the swivel end connector.
3.
Tie the elastic cords at each end of the hose cover.
Vacuums With 1 1/2'' Hose Cuff

Use 1 1/4'' hose cuff reducer when required.

from the motor pulley (70). Always lift out roller and bearing blocks evenly. When replacing,
loop the drive belt over the clutch and the pulley, insert left hand bearing block in its slot
first, then push both bearing blocks downwards, keeping the brush roller parallel with the
chassis.
To remove the brush roller pulley (31): Hold the roller in one hand and turn the pulley in a
clockwise direction. To remove the motor pulley (30) insert a screwdriver into a groove and
give a light tap in an anti-clockwise direction. The loosened pulley can then be removed.
To remove the swivel neck: Take out the two small screws from underneath the chassis near
the voltage label, then lift the swivel neck assembly from the chassis. The plastic bearings
(68) can be removed by pulling them off. When replacing a plastic bearing, ensure that it is
fully pushed home over the four sections on the swivel neck.
Changing the electronic controller (34): Disconnect the lead from the motor and the
swivel neck. Lift the controller upwards from its location.
To remove the axle assembly: Unscrew the three screws and take off the axle clamps.
Before replacing, lightly grease the axle. To replace, hook one end of the spring on the axle
then grip the other end with a pair of pliers and turn about a quarter of a turn. Keeping the
wheels at the ends of the axle, press the axle assembly back into place.
