User manual for voltage tester (125 to 250 V~)
To measure alternating current (AC) voltage
The voltage values specified on the voltage tester are nominal values.
Please store this user manual for future reference, and pass it on when you
give away the voltage tester.
m CAUTION! Danger to life due to electric shock!
• Only use the voltage tester to detect voltage.
• Use the voltage tester exclusively for the voltage range from 125 to 250 V AC.
• Do not use a faulty voltage tester with obviously compromised operation and/
or safety.
• Only use the voltage tester in dry surroundings.
• Do not use the voltage tester in wet environments, e. g. when exposed to
vapour or rain.
m CAUTION! Never use the voltage tester as a screwdriver on live parts
of an installation. Prior to each use:
1. Check the insulating sleeve of the voltage tester for damage. Do not use
it, if it is damaged.
2. Check whether the lamp on the voltage tester lights up by using a connect-
ed socket. Dispose of a damaged or defective voltage tester
m WARNING! The fact that the indicator light is not visible does not
guarantee the absence of voltage. The following factors may affect your
ability to see the indicator light:
• unfavourable lighting conditions, for example, sunshine
• temperatures outside the range of –10 °C bis +50 °C
• frequencies outside the range of 50 to 500 Hz
• unfavourable locations such as on wooden ladders, insulating floor coverings
and in non-operationally grounded AC voltage networks
