support the pressure of the drill stand fastening.
In case of failure of the supporting surfaces the drill
stand may turn into imbalance: stop immediately the
operations.
d) When performing wet drilling always use a water
collection system. Use of a water collecting system
can reduce the risk of electric shock.
e) When performing dry drilling always use a dust
collection system. Use of dust collection system
can reduce dust-related hazards.
f) When not in use or after finishing operations:
• always remove drill bit and core drill motor from
the drill stand, since the loads of drill bit and core
drill motor provoke unbalancing;
• position the upper column (B1) in the lower
position, then
• lay down horizontally on the floor the drill stand,
in order to prevent any risk of fall.
Your drill stand, due to its height, is exposed to the
risk of fall so much great as much it is extended.
g) Leave your drill stand in vertical position only if
well
anchored
Accidental hits or uneven supporting surfaces could
cause the fall of the drill stand, provoking injuries to
you or to bystanders.
h) Throughout the whole operations always wear:
Eye
protection
Safety
shoes
Throughout the operation of dry drilling also
always wear:
Dust
mask
3.2. Procedure to fix the drill stand
Follow the next order of operation:
• Place the stand alongside the hole to be done; make
sure that the main base lay evenly on the floor;
• move the cam in idle position (fig. 3)
• hold the twin handle adjusting system (E1) with both
hands and at the same time stand on the base (A) with a
foot;
• press the two levers (E2) placed beneath the handles as
shown in fig. 4, in order to free the pins from the holes in
the column;
• by elevating the twin handle adjusting system (E1),
adjust the length of the extendible rig to the point that the
upper footing (L) is close to the ceiling;
• release the levers (E2) so that the pins insert in the
nearest holes;
Warning: before actioning the cam, make sure
that the two pins of the levers on the collar are
completely engaged in the holes of the lower

column;
• grasping firmly with a hand the upper column, move
forcefully downward (fig.7) the cam handle in so far as the
stand will be firmly fixed. Shake it by force by holding it on
the higher part, the stand shall not move!
• make sure that bearing surfaces (floor and ceiling) are
rigid enough and do not bend under pressure;
Warning: Consider that the fixing has to hold,
besides the push, also the system (stand, drill
motor, core bit), the weight of the water inside
the core bit and the core (when finish drilling).
• rotate the cam blocking lever and tighten it to prevent
unwanted loosening (fig.8);
• mount the drill unit to the carriage as described in the
paragraph 'Mounting the core drill motor';
• before start the drilling: regulate the locking system (O)
on the side of the carriage (fig.9) so that the carriage
cannot slip down under the load of the core drill motor and
the drill bit;
• when finishing the operation place the carriage in the
lower position at the lower end of the rack.
ceiling.
3.3. Feed handle
Move the carriage (F) along the column (B1) by turning the
feed handle (I). Mount the handle to the carriage shaft (S).
You can mount the handle to the left or to the right side of
the carriage.
Ear
Pay attention to the fact that the feed handle has a magnet
protection
that keep it in position. Consider that a certain force is
needed to remove it. Pay attention and ensure to take
familiarity with the feed handle removing before starting the
drilling operations.
3.4. Locking the carriage
The carriage is equipped with a locking system (O). The
carriage must be locked when you mount the core drill
motor, when you mount or replace the core bit or when you
transport the stand.
3.5. Mounting the core drill motor on the
stand
The core drill motor can be mounted to your stand in
different ways depending on your core drill motor model.
The core drill motor can be mounted to the carriage using
the collar (P) or with the rapid lock plate (Q). Identify which
mounting system is suitable for your core drill motor.
Make sure the core drill motor is unplugged when you do
following operations
Rapid lock collar mounting (fig. 10)
For this drill stand type you can mount your core drill motor
using the collar (P), if the core drill motor is designed for
this type of mounting. The diameter of the collar is 60 mm.
Proceed as follows:
• lock the carriage using the locking system (O);
• position the rapid lock collar (P+Q) on the carriage as
shown in the pictures;
• secure the rapid lock collar (P+Q) by tightening the two
side-screw with the feed handle;
