Warning regarding ventilation

This device must be located in a place that does not interfere with its
ventilation. Leave a ventilation gap of at least 10 cm around the device. Make
sure that the air vents are not obstructed by objects such as newspapers,
tablecloths, curtains, etc. This device must not be built into a cabinet unless
sufficient ventilation is provided.
Do not insert objects or pointed items into the air vents.

Installing the device

Place the device on a dry, flat, solid surface.
Do not install this device near sources of heat such as radiators, hot air
vents, stoves or other devices (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
Do not place anything that produces a naked flame (a lighted candle for
example) on or near the device.
Do not put the device where it may be subject to vibration.
Plug this device into an easily accessible power outlet.
Use this device in a temperate environment. This device must not be used
in a tropical climate.
Do not use the device in an excessively hot, cold, dusty, mouldy or damp
place.

Cleaning the device

Unplug the radio alarm clock before cleaning it.
Clean the outside of the device with a cloth that has been moistened with
water and a gentle detergent.
Do not use solvents such as alcohol, benzene or thinners as they could
damage the casing.

Battery recycling

Do not dispose of the batteries with household waste. In order to protect
the environment, the batteries must be disposed of according to current
regulations.
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries, do not disassemble them, do
not throw them into a fire.
Do not expose them to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
Do not incinerate them.

Connecting to a power outlet

Insert the mains plug into a power outlet, making sure that the voltage in your
home matches the voltage indicated on the device's nameplate. The radio alarm
clock display shows 12:00.

Inserting batteries

Insert 2 x 1.5V R6 batteries (not included) into the battery compartment under the
radio alarm clock, observing the (+) and (-) polarities indicated in the compartment,
so that the time is saved in the event of a power outage.

WARNING: Explosion hazard if the batteries are not replaced
properly!
Use only the type of battery specified in this manual.
Replace the batteries when they are worn out or leaking.
Remove the batteries if the device is not used for a long time.
In the event of a power outage, the batteries keep the time and alarm settings in
memory.
