DV 40 to DV 125 series with ZDH
Silencer casing of galvanised sheet steel. Base plate made of galvanised sheet steel for being fitted directly on a base frame, large overhung for
thermal insulation.
At intake there is a connection to flanges acc. to DIN 24 155-2
Weather guard fitted in discharge section.
Centrifugal impeller with backward curved blades fitted to the rotor of an integrated motor – fully speed controlled – vibration isolated, dynami-
cally balanced, motor protection by thermo contacts implemented in the motor windings.
Roof fan ready for being connected to isolator already fitted under weather cowl.
All roof fans are delivered ready for connection and are protected on the outlet side with a guard in accordance with DIN EN ISO
13857. The inlet guard is not fitted as standard.
If there is a danger of contact with the impeller because of the way the fan is installed then a guard DIN EN ISO 13857 must be fitted -
available as accessory.
Only then the roof fan can be set in operation!
3.2
Technical data
Please read and follow technical data and permitted limits to be found on the identification plate, in the technical specification sheet and the
relevant technical catalogue.
3.3
Intended use
The roof fans are suitable for the extraction of dust free air and other non aggressive gases or vapours.
Permissible transport media temperatures:
DV 30
-20°C – +40°C up to +60°C (see identification plate of the fan)
DV 40 - DV 125
-20°C – +40°C
DV 40 - DV 125 with ZDH
-20°C – +40°C
Any use other than the above is regarded as improper. Wolf accepts no liability for any injury or damage to property resulting from
such improper use!
3.4
Improper use
Improper use would be for example the conveyance of:
- media having temperatures outside the permitted limits.
- aggressive media.
- heavily dust laden media
The consequences are: Bearing damage, rust damage, imbalance, vibration, distortion, abrasive damage.
3.5
Unauthorised operation
- No operation above the indicated rpm (see type plate, data sheet)!
- No operation at rpm ranges with increased vibration (resonance)!
- No operation at rpm ranges out of permitted fan curve area (stability of flow pattern)!
- No operation if fan becomes polluted!
There is a danger of:
Injury or damage to property caused by burning, acid impacts, impeller fractures, shaft fractures, fatigue fractures, fire caused by
sparks.

Transport

4.1
Transport damage
Check immediately and in the presence of the delivery person that the delivery is complete and intact. In the case of transport damage read the
attached instructions.
Fans should be transported with care! Improper handling such as for example setting it down hard on its edge may result in:
- the fan impeller jamming
- the shaft being distorted
- bearing damage
4.2
Transport safety
- Choose means of transport suited to the weight and packaging of the fan (identification plate, technical information sheet).
- Secure the load correctly
- We recommend that the roof fans be left in their packaging until they are to be installed
For handling the roof fans they may only be taken at the base frame and / or at the eye bolts provided.
If handling them against these prescription the fans can be damaged or get loose from the transport device.
There is a danger of:
- Injuries by falling loads (fan)
- Damages at the fan by its deformation or complete destruction.
- Damages at the buildings.
4.3
Temporary storage
When storing the fan temporarily the following points must be observed in all cases:
- Store the fan in its transport packaging, protected as necessary from the environment.
- The storage site must be dry and dust free and should not register high humidity (<70%).
- Maximum storage temperature allowed: -25°C up to +40°C
