Installation and maintenance Instructions
It is important that these instructions are read and understood before
attempting to install or operate this equipment.
System: How it works
The Ionised Air Knife is used for long-range static neutralisation and removing dust and
contamination. Typical applications include: cleaning parts before spray painting, web cleaning and
neutralising, sheet separation, neutralising winders and unwinders, neutralising and cleaning plastic
mouldings and containers.
Model 5100
Model 5000
The system consists of a Static Eliminator Bar mounted onto a high output linear air amplifier. The air
amplifier magnifies factory compressed air by a factor of 30 to deliver a high velocity sheet of ionised
air to a surface or object up to 4m away.
The static eliminating bar is connected to a Fraser 5.5kV Power Supply. Instructions for the Power
Unit are provided separately.
Checking on Delivered Equipment
The equipment leaves our factory in suitable protective packaging. Please check that it is
undamaged when it arrives. If there is visible damage contact the Factory or one of our distributors
immediately, before carrying out any installation.
Check that the parts which have been delivered are the same as you have ordered.
Loose parts: The Airknife will come with a 1/4 BSP fitting, this is in a plastic bag.
