It may only be connected to the loudspeaker outputs on such devices.
It is only suitable for use inside a car; do not use outdoors. Direct contact with moisture, drips or water
spray must be avoided at all times.
Any other use than the one described above may lead to damage to the subwoofer and involves oth-
er risks, such as short-circuits, fire, etc.
No part of the product must be modified or rebuilt.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.

An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important instructions in the operating
instructions. Please read all the instructions before using this device, they include
important information on its correct operation.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the product is not permitted.
• Do not expose the subwoofer to high temperatures, drips or water spray, strong vibrations or heavy
mechanical stress.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices and never place objects filled with liquid on top of them.
• Do not place naked flames such as burning candles on top of the device.
• When connecting the subwoofer, consult the safety instructions of the device to which it is to be con-
nected.
• Do not place any magnetic storage media such as floppy disks or video cassettes close to the car
loudspeakers, as the subwoofer's magnetic field may corrupt data stored on such storage media.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
• Excessive volume inside a car may result in you not hearing acoustic warning signals. This consti-
tutes a danger to yourself and to other road users. Therefore, ensure the volume is at a suitable lev-
el.
• Lack of attention in traffic can lead to serious accidents. Therefore, only use the hi-fi system when
the traffic situation permits and you will not be unduly distracted by operating the system.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for

Installation
Modifications to the vehicle, which are made necessary due to the installation of
the subwoofer, must always be carried out in such a manner that neither the traf-
fic safety nor the designed stability of the car is impaired. With many vehicles, the
MOT will be void, if you cut out a section of the sheet metal.
If you are in doubt about where to install the device, consult your car dealer.
Before drilling, make sure that this will not damage any electric cables, brake
leads, the fuel tank or suchlike.
When using tools to install your car's hi-fi components, follow the manufacturer's
safety instructions.
When installing the subwoofer or your hi-fi system, please take into account the
risk of injury that can arise from devices being torn away in the event of an acci-
dent. Therefore, you should secure each component in a place where it cannot
pose a risk to passengers.
• Select a place suitable for installing the subwoofer. The boot is a suitable place for installation.
• Fasten the subwoofer with belts, clamps or similar, suitable mounting material. A secure attachment
in the spare wheel recess also might be possible.

Version 05/09
In order to ensure clear playback, you must operate the subwoofer via an amplifier with an active
switch, which ensures:
• that there is sufficient output
• that the subwoofer is only supplied with the bottom bass range of the music signals
• Depending on the vehicle, set the crossover frequency for the active switch between 100 and
150 Hz.
Connect the subwoofer's loudspeaker lead to the loudspeaker connection terminal on the sub-
woofer amplifier:
- red terminal, or the terminal labelled with „+"
- black terminal or the terminal labelled with „-"
Maintenance and Care
The subwoofer is maintenance-free.
Clean the outside of the product with soft, dry cloth or brush or a vacuum cleaner.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface
of the housing.
Do not touch the sensitive diaphragm surface.

To avoid short circuits and any resulting damage, the negative terminal (earth) of
the car battery must first be disconnected.
Before reconnecting the negative terminal to the battery, ensure that the
device has been completely connected.
Only use a volt meter, or a diode test lamp, to check the voltage of the vehi-
cle system leads, as normal test lamps consume excessive voltage and may
thus damage the vehicle's electronics.
When connecting the subwoofer, make sure that the connection cables are
not pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
Only connect to suitable loudspeaker outputs from a car amplifier.
Make sure the impedance and power rating indicated in the technical data
complies with the data for the amplifier connected. Otherwise, damage to the
subwoofer or the amplifier can occur.
