Technical Specifications
The Starting Protection device has been specially designed in order to avoid the
problem represented by backfire during the starting phase in gasoline-fed cars;
the problem is due to the residual gas which is to be found in the suction manifold.
The Starting Protection, when switching off the board, keeps feeding the starting
system and at the same time turns gas electrovalves off. The motor keeps going
for a maximum time of two seconds until gas can be found inside the suction
manifolds before definitely stopping.
When proceeding with the starting phase, the manifolds are completely emptied
of gas, thus allowing the car to start smoothly with no backfire.
STARTING PROTECTION's advantages in comparison with other similar
devices:
a)
no change of the original starting equipment;
b)
no need for further relays;
c)
easy to install.
We advise you to fix the Starting Protection in a vertical position, away
from possible water infiltrations and excessive heat sources ( for example:
exhaust manifolds), so as to avoid to irreparably damage the Starting
Protection.To avoid bad workings of the Starting Protection we advise
you to:
- pass the wires away from the high tension wire;
- make good connections and do not use "steal current".
Please, pay attention that the best connection you can do is a duly
insulated welding.
Do notify the customer about the installation of this device and the
following delayed switching off in gas-fed cars.
Do not absolutely open the Starting Protection box, especially when
the engine is running or the board panel is inserted. A.E.B. srl declines
every responsabilities for damages caused to things or person
which derives from the tampering of its own device provoked by
unauthorized persons.
Stick the adhesive label supplied in the wrapping, into the passengers
compartment in a good position, to advise of the presence of the Star-
ting Protection.
