1. Safety notices

For your own protection:
Please read these instructions carefully and keep them to hand!
It is vital to observe the following safety precautions! Mounting must only be carried out
by a qualified specialist!
• Connection must be carried out by trained electrical engineers or electrical specialists only.
• Before all mounting, repair, maintenance or installation work, all associated electrical circuits
must be disconnected and prevented from being switched on unintentionally.
• The respective locally-applicable mounting and installation provisions, guidelines and regu-
lations must be observed. This applies in particular to guidelines and regulations issued by
the VDE (Germany's Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies), e. g.
guideline concerning electrical locking systems for doors in escape routes.
• On site, there must be a supply-current disconnecting device on the primary side and a
suitable protective device (fuse).
• When routing cables, sharp edges and the clamping or squeezing of cables or tension on
the connections should be avoided.
• We will not accept liability in the case of improper usage, improper mounting and installation
or the use of non-original accessories!
• Converting and/or modifying the product without authorisation is not permitted for safety
and licensing reasons (CE). This would render claims under warranty null and void.
Please note: these instructions must be passed from the person responsible for
mounting to the operator!
