4.1
Steel formwork
4.1.1
Fixing by inserting the HALFEN T-head bolt
through pre-drilled holes in the formwork.
4.1.2
Fixing using aluminium rivets (supplied by
contractor) through the holes in the
HALFEN Cast-in channel.
4.1.3
Screw the HALFEN Fixing cones in the prepared
threaded holes in the steel formwork. A HALFEN
Channel is then placed over the row of fi xing-cones
(spacing approx. 50–100 cm). Suitable spaces are
made in the channel-fi lling to accommodate the
cones. Plastic bolts with washers are inserted
through the slots in the channel and screwed in
to the fi xing cones; this tightens the channel
HALFEN Fixing cone
against the formwork.
4.2
Timber formwork
4.2.1
Fixing to timber formwork with nails through the
pre-punched holes in the back of the channel.
HALFEN recommends the use of stainless steel
nails when fi xing stainless steel channels.
4.2.2
Fixing HALFEN Channels 28/15 up to 52/34 with
staples: Nail the HALFEN Channel to timber form-
work with a suffi cient number of staples.
4.3
Fixing with auxiliary constructions
4.3.1
Fixing with auxiliary constructions; see picture.
Careful concrete compaction is required with a
suitable vibrating tool to prevent leaving air bub-
bles underneath the channel (distance from the
HALFEN Channel should be less than 5-times the
vibration tool diameter).
