7.1

Maintenance

Use a lifting and operating key to
release the closure devices and remove
the lid.
Carefully clean the plant while it is
empty.
Clean the inside walls and components.
Remove any incrustations and deposits
carefully but thoroughly. Inspect the
coating.
Clean the bearing surfaces. Check the
seals and replace any that are dama-
ged. The bolt locking devices must be

Inspection

Before climbing inside, ventilate
the plant and take the necessary safety
precautions. Observe the relevant acci-
dent prevention regulations.
Inspection is necessary for keeping the
plant in good condition. Essential repair
work can be arranged in good time, the
plant will enjoy a longer service life and
the investment will pay off.
The entire plant must be inspected,
including all components. To do this,

8.1

General Information

The entire surface must be cleaned
using high-pressure water cleaning to
remove grease, oils and other forms
of contamination. Then, the containers
must be fully dried.
The old epoxy resin coating must be
prepared by sanding it down intensively
(extending approx. 15 – 20 cm from
the damaged spot) until a stable base
has been created for the next coating.
Cavities and damaged spots must be

screwed as far as the dead stop before
the lid is put in place.
When putting the lid in place, make
sure it is secure.
Check the sealing ring on the closure
devices and clean the locking holes.
Tighten the closure devices evenly by
working in a crosswise manner.
When operating the manhole cover,
check the movement of the closure de-
vices. If necessary, regrease them.
When inspecting and maintaining waste
dispose of all the contents and clean
the plant thoroughly. Then check its
condition.
Inspection and maintenance work can
be carried out by ACO service partners
on request and in return for a fee.
Necessary repairs (repair work) can be
recommended and carried out in return
for a fee. Inspection report on the con-
