Commissioning

The only difference between the two gre-
ase separator series (the Lipumax with in-
ternal coating and the Lipumax Inliner with
PE-HD internal lining) is the type of inter-
nal coating/lining used for the basin. The

Completion Work

The plant must be cleaned thoroughly. In
particular, any mortar residues must be
removed.
5.2

Tightness Test

Tightness tests must be performed on the
complete plant before the trench is filled.
This test must be carried out by a speci-
alist company. When testing the plant for
tightness by filling it with water, the drive
forces exerted on the plant and cone or
on the cover plate must be taken into ac-
count, and if necessary a counter weight
must be provided on the shaft structure:

Type Plate

Check that the type plate is attached in
the top area of the shaft. The data on the
type plate is of relevance to the type of
separator plant supplied.
5.4

Filling the Plant

Keep filling the plant with water through
the inlet side until you can see from the
sampling shaft that water is clearly flow-
ing into the sewerage system or until the
water level stops rising inside the separa-

internal coating consists of a high-quality
epoxy resin whereas the internal lining
consists of a PE-HD liner. The latter is
also resistant to aggressive waste water
constituents and mechanical influences.
Caution
The inside and outside of the plant may
only come into contact with water once
any joints sealed with mortar and any coa-
tings have fully set and hardened.
Basin measuring up to Ø 1800 = no coun-
ter weight required
Basin measuring up to Ø 2100 = 4.000 kg
Basin measuring up to Ø 2500 = 9.000 kg
Basin measuring up to Ø 2800 = 16.000 kg
Basin measuring up to Ø 3000 = 20.000 kg

with two shafts = 26.000 kg
with three shafts = 17.000 kg
tor. The water fed into the separator plant
must consist (for example) of drinking
water, water for industrial use or treated
waste water from the separator plant that
meets the local discharge requirements.
The counter weights must be placed di-
rectly on the cover plate and distributed
evenly across it. All counter weights are
based on T

Note: To see what kind of counter weight
is required for other inlet inverts, please
refer to the installation manual for ACO
light oil and grease separators made from
steel or polymer concrete.
