1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Mikrofon ECM-40 hat einen sehr linearen
Frequenzgang und eignet sich darum speziell für
Messungen z. B. von Lautsprechern, Verstärker-
anlagen und der Raumakustik. Aufgrund seiner
sehr guten Eigenschaften lässt es sich auch für
hochwertige Musikaufnahmen und -übertragun-
gen einsetzen.
Das Mikrofon wird über das angeschlossene
Audiogerät gespeist, d. h. der Mikrofoneingang
am Audiogerät muss über eine Phantom -
speisung (12 – 48 V ) verfügen oder es muss
ein Phantomspeisegerät zwischengeschaltet
werden.
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch
Das Mikrofon entspricht allen relevanten Richt -
linien der EU und ist deshalb mit
zeichnet.

Setzen Sie das Mikrofon nur im Innenbereich
ein. Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritz-
wasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zu-
lässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

1 Applications
The microphone ECM-40 features a very linear
frequency response. Therefore, it is ideally
suited for measuring, e. g. speakers, amplifier
systems and room acoustics. Due to its excel-
lent properties, it is also suitable for high-quality
recording and transmission of music.
The microphone is supplied with power via the
audio unit connected, i. e. make sure that a
phantom power (12 – 48 V ) is available at the
microphone input of the audio unit or insert a
phantom power supply.
2 Important Notes
This microphone corresponds to all relevant
directives of the EU and is therefore marked
with .

The microphone is suitable for indoor use only.
Protect it against dripping water and splash
water, high air humidity and heat (admissible
ambient temperature range: 0 – 40 °C).

angeschlossen oder nicht fachgerecht repa-
riert, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultie-
rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und
keine Garantie für das Mikrofon übernommen
werden.
Soll das Mikrofon endgültig aus dem
Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben
Sie es zur umweltgerechten Entsor-
gung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Inbetriebnahme
1) Das Mikrofon optimal aufstellen, z. B. mithilfe
des Mikrofon-Klemmhalters MH-99 / SW und
eines Stativs.
2) Das Mikrofon über das beiliegende An-
schlusskabel mit einem symmetrischen XLR-
Mikrofoneingang (z. B. am Messgerät, Misch-
gekenn-
pult, Verstärker) verbinden. Der Mikrofonein-
gang muss mit einer Phantomspeisung
(12 – 48 V ) ausgestattet sein, anderenfalls
muss ein Phantomspeisegerät zwischenge-
schaltet werden (z. B. EMA-3 oder EMA-200
von „img Stage Line").

use water or chemicals.

crophone is used for other purposes than orig-
inally intended, if it is not correctly connected,
or if it is not repaired in an expert way.
If the microphone is to be put out of op-
eration definitively, take it to a local re-
cycling plant for a disposal which is not
harmful to the environment.
3 Operation
1) Find the best position to set up the micro-
phone, e. g. by means of the microphone
clamp MH-99 / SW and a stand.
2) Connect the microphone to a balanced XLR
microphone input (e. g. on the meter, mixer,
amplifier) via the connection cable provided.
Make sure that a phantom power (12 – 48 V )
is available at the microphone input or insert
a phantom power supply (e. g. EMA-3 or
EMA-200 from "img Stage Line").
