Installation
The actuating plates can be located on the front or top of the cistern modules. The installation procedure
is identical for both locations.
We recommend that you wait until the wall finish is complete before installing the actuating plates.
Installation procedure

Remove the chamber cover
and keep it safe.

Remove the cover and open
the corner valve.

Fit the base plate and secure
using knurled nuts.

Once you have cut the flush
rods to length, screw then into
the threaded holes on the flush
mechanism.

Fit the support in the base
plate.
Note:
Visign for Life 1 and 2 actuating plates can be fitted with anti-theft protection as
an optional extra (model 8310.15).

Cut in the corners of the
inspection chamber as far as
the surface of the wall.

Then replace the cover.

The length of the flush rods
is determined using the two bore
holes in the cover.

The reaches of the flush rods
can be set using the template
supplied with the kit. Upper flush
rod: +11 mm from the leading
edge of the base plate.

Hook the actuating plate on
at the top of the base plate and
press into place at the bottom.

The edge of the inspection
chamber must be flush with
the surface of the wall.

Insert the two threaded
bolts into the bore holes inside
the inspection chamber and
lock them in place by turning
through 90°.

To do this, insert the flush
rods into the template holes as
far as they will go and cut them
flush with the base plate.

The reaches of the flush rods
can be set using the cover for
the chamber. Lower flush rod:
+3 mm from the leading edge
of the base plate.
o Anti-theft protection
The Visign for Life 1 metal
actuating plate (model 8311.1)
is supplied complete with anti-
theft protection.
