INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN PARA EL
MOVIMIENT DE CUARZO DE LA CAMPAN WESTMINSTER
COMIENZO
1. Libere la guía del péndulo [A] del alfiler [B] que lo sostiene
durante el transporte, empujándolo delicadamente hacia
un lado y dejando que la guía cuelgue libremente.
2. Instale cuatro pilas alcalinas nuevas "AA" dentro del
compartimiento observando los símbolos (+) y (-) de los
sujetadores.
Nota: Una batería se utiliza para guardar del tiempo [ C ], una
para el péndulo [ D ], y dos para el carillón [ E ]. Estas
características trabajan independientemente de cada
uno.
PROGRAMACIÓN HORARIA
Gire el botón de PROGRAMACIÓN HORARIA [F] para mover
la manecilla del reloj hasta la hora correcta.
PROGRAMACIÓN DEL REPIQUE HORARIO
1. Mueva el interruptor de ENCENDIDO/ APAGADO DE LA
CAMPANA [G] a la posición "ON".
2. Pulse el botón de PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA CAMPANA [H] y cuente el número de repiques que emite el reloj
después de tocar la melodía Westminster.
NOTA: El reloj tiene una función de silenciamiento nocturno automática que enmudece la campana y los
repiques entre las 10:01 p.m. y las 5.59 a.m. Si la campana del reloj no suena al pulsar el botón
PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA CAMPANA, es posible que esté programada entre dichas horas. Siga pulsando el
botón PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA CAMPANA hasta que suene la campana.
3. Cada vez que se pulsa el botón PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA CAMPANA, el número de repiques aumenta en una
unidad. Siga pulsando el botón CHIME SET hasta que el nú mero de repiques corresponda con la hora. Por
ejemplo, si la hora actual es 8:22, pulse el botón PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA CAMPANA hasta que el reloj
repique 8 veces.
4. Si después de programar la campana, nota que ésta no se escucha durante el día, pero sí durante la noche,
pulse el botón PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA CAMPANA 12 veces para cambiar la programación de la campana
de a.m. a p.m.
OPERACIÓN DEL PÉNDULO
1. Cuelgue el péndulo en la guía del péndulo [A].
2. Suspendre l'horloge au mur et donner un petit coup de pousse au pendule pour qu'il commence à osciller.
S'assurer que l'horloge est bien verticale de façon à ce que le balancier du pendule ne frotte pas contre
l'arrière du mouvement.
AJUSTE DEL VOLUMEN
Gire la perilla de CONTROL DEL VOLUMEN [I] para ajustar el volumen de la campana.
SILENCIAMIENTO DE LA CAMPANA
Mueva el interruptor de ENCENDIDO/ APAGADO DE LA CAMPANA [G] a la posición "OFF" para apagar la
campana y los repiques horarios.
CÓMO CAMBIAR LAS PILAS
Si el reloj se detiene, se retrasa o la campana se debilita o se vuelve errática, indica generalmente que las pilas
están débiles o agotadas. Reemplace las pilas según las instrucciones indicadas arriba en COMIENZO. Jamá s
deje pilas agotadas dentro del reloj ya que podrían dañar el reloj.
NOTA: Cada vez que retire las pilas del reloj deberá restaurar la campana según las instrucciones de la sección
de PROGRAMACIÓN DEL REPIQUE HORARIO

STARTING
1. Release the pendulum guide (A) from the transport-
locking pin [B].
2. Install four (4) fresh "AA" size alkaline batteries in the
I
battery holders on the back of the clock according to the
(+) and (-) symbols in the holders.

Note: One battery is required for the time keeping [C],
one for the pendulum [D], and two for the chime [E].

These features work independently from each.
TIME SETTING
Turn the TIME SET button [F] to set the clock hands to the
correct time.
HOURLY STRIKE SETTING
1. Slide the CHIME ON/OFF switch
position.
2. Press the CHIME SET button [H] and count the number of times that the clock strikes after playing the
Westminster melody.
NOTE: The clock has an automatic nighttime silencing feature which silences the chime and strike between
10:01 p.m. and 5:59 a.m. If the clock does not chime when you press the CHIME SET button it could be
because the chime is set between those hours. Continue pressing the CHIME SET button until the chime
plays.
3. Each time the CHIME SET button is pressed the number of strikes increases by one. Continue pressing the
CHIME SET button until the number of strikes matches the current hour. For example, if the current time is
8:22, press the CHIME SET button until the clock strikes 8 times.
4. After setting the chime, if you find that the clock does not chime during the day, but does chime at night, press
the chime set button 12 times to adjust the chime setting from a.m. to p.m.
PENDULUM OPERATION
1. Hang the pendulum on the pendulum guide [A].
2. Hang the clock on the wall so that the clock is vertically straight. Make sue that the pendulum guide does not
rub on the back of the movement.
VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
Turn the VOLUME CONTROL knob [I] to adjust the volume of the chime.
CHIME SILENCING
Slide the CHIME ON/OFF SWITCH [G] to the "OFF" position to turn off the hourly chime and strike.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If the clock stops, begins to loose time, or the chime becomes weak or erratic, it is usually the indication of weak or
exhausted batteries. Replace the batteries following the instructions above for STARTING. Never leave exhausted
batteries in the clock as they can leak and damage the clock.
NOTE: Any time the batteries are removed from the clock, the chime may need to be reset as described in the
HOURLY STRIKE SETTING section.
