DRIVING THE WHEELS
1.
Allow the engine to run at high speed
and select a suitable gear for the actual
conditions. There are 6 forward gears and
2 reverse gears.
2.
Press in to activate the auger, release to
stop the snow blowing.
3.
Press in the drive lever to activate driving,
release to stop.
IMPORTANT:
Always disengage, i.e. release the gear lever
before changing gear.
AUGER
The auger lever is placed on the left side of the
handle. Press in the auger lever to start the
auger, release to stop the snow blowing. (The
drive lever must also be released.)
IMPORTANT:
Always check that the auger is working
properly before use. Follow these instructions
carefully and make all the necessary
adjustments to check that the snowblower is
working properly.
Starting the auger
Press the auger lever to the handle to activate
the auger, release to stop the snow blowing.
Function check of auger lever
1.
When the auger lever is in neutral (up)
there should be very little play in the wire,
but it must not be overtightened.
2.
Stand in the driving position behind the
handle and engage the auger.
3.
Allow the auger to remain engaged for
about 10 seconds and then release the
auger lever. Repeat several times.
4.
Allow the engine to run with the auger
lever in neutral. Go round in front of the
machine.
5.
Check that the auger has completely
stopped.
6.
Start the engine and check that the auger
engages and disengages correctly.
IMPORTANT:
Go back to the driving position
immediately if auger starts to move and
stop the engine. Wait until all moving
parts have completely stopped and
adjust the auger wire.
Run a function check before the machine
is used for the first time, and before it is
used at the start of the season.
STOPPING
1.
Allow the engine to run without load for
a few minutes before switching it off to
remove any moisture.
2.
Move the throttle lever to the low revs
position (tortoise symbol).
3.
Switch off the engine by turning the
ignition key to STOP.
4.
Wipe all the controls on the engine dry.
5.
Set the fuel cock in the OFF position.
AFTER USE
Clearing the ejector
The clearing tool sits in a holder on the back
of the auger housing. Clear the ejector in
accordance with the instructions below.
1.
Put the auger lever and drive lever in neutral.
2.
Remove the clearing tool from the holder.
3.
Clear away snow and ice with the clearing
tool.
