Read the complete user manual before carrying out the installation and activating the system. Keep
the manual for future reference.
1. DESCRIPTION
The detector registers movement via a passive infrared sensor (PIR). It is most sensitive to turning movements
within the controlled detection range (see Fig. 1a). The sensitivity to movements directly towards the sensor is
about 50% less (see Fig. 1b).
The detector comes in the following 8 versions:

2. USE
The detector is suitable for controlling indoor lighting or the lighting in a protected outdoor environment. Be
aware of the following during installation:
• Only mount the detector on stable walls.
• Hide any moving objects within the controlled detection range by shielding the lens.
• Do not place any lighting underneath or closer than 1 m from the detector (see Fig. 2a).
• Do not mount the detector in the direct path of a cold or hot air flow (see Fig. 2a and Fig. 2c).
3. MOUNTING
The detector is designed for mounting on the wall at a height of 2 to 4 m. The range of the detection area
depends on the mounting height (see Fig. 1c).
The detector is mounted as follows:
1. Carefully unscrew the detector from its base (see Fig. 4a)
2. Mark the place for the drill holes on the wall and drill them.
3. Pull the wire through the flexible membrane input (see Fig. 4b).
4. Fix the detector using screws and plugs (see Fig. 4c).
5. Connect the detector as shown in the wiring diagram in Fig. 7.
6. Place the detector back onto the base.
4. WIRING
Connect the detector as shown in the wiring diagram in Fig. 7.
The circuit must be protected with a fuse.

Switched output relay
5. CONNECTING DEVICES
A high inrush current decreases the life span of the relay integrated into the detector. Respect the technical
specifications of the lighting manufacturers to prevent overloading the relay. We recommend connecting a
maximum of 3 to 4 detectors in parallel. This keeps the switching circuit organised. If the number of switching
cycles is higher than average or in case of an increased load, we recommend to run the load via an external
relay or an external fuse.
6. CONFIGURATION
The detector is ready for use approximately 1 minute after connection to the electricity grid. The settings can only
be changed while the detector is switched on. The following settings can be changed using the potentiometer
on the device:
6.1. Switch-off delay
Using the TIME potentiometer, the switch-off delay after the final movement is set (see Fig. 6a).
6.2. Light sensitivity
Using the LUX potentiometer, you can set the threshold value of the twilight switch continuously between ð(day
mode, 1000 lux) and ƒ (night mode, 5 lux) (see Fig. 6b).
6.3. Adjusting the detection range
You can reduce the detection area by cutting the supplied cover to size and fitting it to the detector head (see
Fig. 7). Alternatively, you can also cover certain parts of the lens with adhesive tape.
You can optimise the detection range by directing the detector. You can turn the director 45° downwards and
45° to the left or right (see Fig. 6c).
7. DISPLAY
The indication LED on the device indicates when a movement has been registered. During the start-up the LED
will keep flashing (approx. 1 min.).

Solution
The switch output does
• The twilight level has been set too high. Lower light sensitivity.
not switch.
• Check the lighting and the fuse.
• Direct the detector better.
The switch output
• Decrease the detection range.
switches too often.
• Direct the detector better.
