Function

The Festo limit switch attachment DAPZ−...−AR is a device for representing and
electrically transmitting switching states. It serves for signalizing rotary drives
which open and close valves.
The switching position of the rotary drive is transferred to the limit switch attach
ment DAPZ−...−AR by means of a cam shaft. In the DAPZ−...−AR rotation of the cam
shaft causes the green ring to be pushed over the red ring, thereby producing a
clearly visible change of signal colour. At the same time, the position of two inter
nal switching cams is modified. By means of two electric switches, this change of
position modifies electric signals for further use in control systems.

Application

The limit switch attachment DAPZ−...−AR has been designed for the visual display
and electrical feedback of the end positions of rotary drives which actuate valves
with a swivel angle of 90° to 180°.
