SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELECTRIC SNOW SHOVEL
!
KEEP CHILDREN AND BYSTANDERS AWAY - All bystanders, children and
pets should be kept at a safe distance from the work area.
DRESS PROPERLY - Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be
caught in moving parts. Wear rubber boots when operating the snow shovel.
EXTENSION CORDS - To prevent disconnection of the extension cord during
operation, tie it to the upper handle before connecting it to the snow shovel. To
prevent electric shock, use only with an extension cord as specified in this
manual.
AVOID ACCIDENTAL STARTING - Do not carry the snow shovel with your
finger on the switch. Be sure unit is switched off when plugging in.
POWER CORD - If cord is damaged in any manner while plugged in, pull
extension cord from wall receptacle. Handle cord carefully. Never carry snow
shovel by cord or yank it to disconnect from receptacle. Keep cord away from
heat, oil and sharp objects.
WARNING : Keep guards in place and in working order. Keep hands away from
moving parts.
DO NOT FORCE SNOW SHOVEL - It will perform better and safer at the rate for
which it was designed.
DO NOT OVERREACH - Keep proper footing and balance at all times. If the
snow shovel strikes a foreign object, follow these steps:
• Stop the snow shovel
• Inspect for damage
• Repair any damage before restarting and operating the snow thrower
DISCONNECT SNOW SHOVEL - Disconnect the snow shovel from the power
supply when not in use, before cleaning and servicing.
REPLACEMENT PARTS - When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
STORE SNOW THROWERS PROPERLY - When not in use, snow shovel should
be stored indoors in a dry, locked place out of reach of children.
Do not use on a gravel surface or crushed rock surfaces. Use extreme caution
when crossing gravel/crushed rock drives, walks or roads. Never attempt to use
the snow shovel on a roof or any steep, inclined, slippery surfaces.
