1. Description of function
Valve seats can be damaged by sand grains general debris
etc., so that their normal function can only be restored by chan-
ging the valve, a labour intensive operation and therefore,
expensive.
With the next introduction of safety valve repair set A160 it is
now possible to repair the type SM152 valve (1/2" - 11/4") and
SG160/SG160D (1/2" - 1") safety group without removing them
from the pipework or dressing the damaged valve seat.

is replaced, the test mark

4. Installation
1. Remove the existing insert from the valve body.
2. Screw in the new unit using wrench SW38.
A tight seal in the valve body is guaranteed by the high
quality sealing ring Á which is an integral part of the new
unit and thightening ensures that any damage is filled up
and sealed.
If the connection to the valve body is badly damaged, a
higher torque must be used, when tightening the new unit
until a completely tight seal is achieved.
With 1/2" safety valves it is necessary to fit the distance
ring before screwing in the new unit.
