Cable installation / adjustment
Note: for Thera-Glide™ chairs delivered fully
assembled, the cable tension is factory
adjusted with the correct amount of slack.
7.1. Attach the activator control cable to the
cylinder. But first make sure the cable
passes through the hole in the backrest
bottom foam block and the fabric cover
then behind the seat frame rear cross
tube, and through the fabric base cover
as shown in fig 7.1. To make the next
steps easier, partly remove the fabric
base cover by untying the elastic loops
at the front of the chair (refer to 5.1).
7.2. Place the threaded end of the conduit
cable in its holder on the locking cylinder
and fasten the loose hexagonal nut to
secure it. Initially set the hexagonal nut
on the conduit side so 2 to 3 threads are
showing. Adjust later as needed. Slide
the steel wire with the ball end through
the slot of the locking lever. While pulling
on the steel wire, adjust the hexagonal
nuts so that the ball end sticks out by
half from the tip of the locking lever slot.

Note: pour les fauteuils Thera-Glide™ livrés
assemblés, la tension du câble est ajustée en
usine avec la quantité correcte de mou.
7.1. Remettre
le
d'activation du cylindre. Mais d'abord,
faites passer le câble à travers du trou
dans le bloc de mousse au bas du
dossier,
puis
transversal arrière de l'assise, et à
travers la fente dans le cache-base en
tissu tel qu'affiché dans la figure 7.1.
Pour faciliter les étapes suivantes,
retroussez
partiellement
cache-base en détachant les boucles
élastiques (référez-vous à la section
5.1).
7.2. Placez l'embout fileté du conduit de
câble dans le support sur le cylindre, et
vissez l'écrou hexagonal pour le garder
en place. Initialement, ajustez l'écrou de
façon à conserver 2 à 3 filets au bout du
conduit. Enfilez le câble d'acier avec
l'embout sphérique à travers la fente du
levier de verrouillage. En tirant sur le
câble, ajustez les écrous hexagonaux
afin que l'embout sphérique dépasse de
la moitié par rapport à la fente du levier
de verrouillage. Note : le mécanisme ne
doit pas être fermé.
