Valve terminal type CPV..−GE−ASI−8E8A−Z M8 has been de
signed exclusively for controlling pneumatic actuators and
is only suitable for use in bus systems in accordance with
AS−Interface specifications. If used together with addi
tional commercially available components, such as sensors
and actuators, the specified limits for pressures, tempera
tures, electrical data, torques etc. must be observed.
AS−Interface bus systems and valve terminals may only be
installed by personnel especially trained for this purpose.
Specifications on the design and addressing of your bus
system can be found in the manual for the AS−Interface
master.
Detailed information on the pneumatics of the valve ter
minal can be found in the pneumatics manual P.BE−CPV−....
Warning
S Switch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (this will prevent functional
damage).
S Connect one of the earth cables on the end plates
with low impedance (short cable with large cross−sec
tional area) to the earth potential.
S Commission only a valve terminal which is fitted and
wired completely.
If you are using the CPV−... as an explosion−protected
operating medium, make sure that:
S electrical connections are not disconnected under
tension
S the completely installed valve terminal with all used
plugs, adapters and protective caps complies at least
with protection class IP64.
