Thank you for purchasing a Holtex scale. For best use we recommend carefully reading this User's Manual.
This scale is intended for private home use, not for any professional weighing or legally binding transactions.

4. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
Carefully retain this User's Manual.
Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
Take shoes off before standing on the scale.
Ensure that your feet and the scale platform are dry before use to avoid falling.
Ensure that the person weighing themselves stands in the centre of the platform and does not move before
taking the measurement.
For people with motor problems, help them or ensure that they get assistance when stepping onto or off of the
scale.
Never exceed the stated maximum weight to avoid damaging the mechanism.
Before using the scale for the first time or after a long break in use or after moving it:
o Perform a number of weighing cycles comprising standing on the scale and letting the
needle come to a stop.
o Step off the scale and let the needle come to a stop.
o Ensure that the needle is set to «0» as a readjustment may be needed. If so, adjust the needle using
the knob while ensuring that there is no weight on the scale platform.
o Repeat the weighing cycles until the zero point is stabilised.
