If your business handset has already been completely assembled

If you receive your handset fully assembled and have logged on to your tele-
phone system, then you only need to set up and connect your charger.
Information regarding the use of MEM cards
of the D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4 handsets
All handsets of type D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4 as well as FC11 require a MEM card
for login (enrolment) on a compatible telecommunication system, similar to the
SIM card of a mobile telephone.
After successful login of a D3, FC1, FC4, IH4 or FC11 handset by the adminis-
trator of the telephone system, the respective MEM card contains:
all the data for login required to operate on this telecom system.
as a rule, an empty telephone directory, that can be supplied with direc-
tory entries by means of either a special configuration tool or individually by
manual input on the handset.
Should you wish to use a D11 or FC11 as a replacement for an already
enrolled D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4, proceed as follows...
Fit a MEM card
Switch the D11 / FC11 off immediately and remove the battery.
Slide the MEM card into the MEM card slot with the appropriate side
obliquely beneath the crescent-shaped holder on the narrow or long side.
The gold-coloured contact surfaces of the MEM card must face downwards.
The tapered corner of the MEM card must match the correspondingly ta-
pered corner of the MEM card slot.
Press the MEM card downwards until the small retaining tab grips the card.
The retaining tab is always located opposite the crescent-shaped holder.
As soon as a D3-, FC1-, FC4- or IH4-MEM card has been placed in the
D11 / FC11 , the battery has been installed and the handset has been
