Installation and connection

a) Installation
Please follow the chapter "Safety Instructions".
Important!
The motion detector may not be connected to the mains voltage. It is only suitable
for an operating voltage of 12 V/DC.
The relay is also not suitable for connecting to the mains voltage. Only a maximum
voltage of 24 V/DC and a maximum current of 100 mA must be connected.
• The motion detector must only be connected in a de-energised state.
• Only mount the motion detector with the wall holder to a solid base,
e.g. masonry. Use screws and, if necessary, screw anchors that
are suitable for the surface. We recommend a mounting height of
2 to 3 m.
• The motion detector must be installed such that it is out of the
reach of children.
• Paying attention to the correct position of the wall holder, mount
the same using two suitable screws, and if required, wall plugs.
The arrow in the image on the right marked "top".
Caution!
Pay attention when drilling and tightening the screws that
no cables or pipes are damaged!
• Remove the circuit board of the motion detector from the housing
after removing the screw (4).
• There is no hole yet in the back of the housing for cable lead-
through.
Drill a corresponding hole (A) in the imprint; the diameter depends
on the connection cable used.
• Mount the back of the housing to the wall holder using one of the
screws provided.
It is helpful to either drill a little hole or to penetrate the plastic with
a pointed object in this spot (B).
Make sure that the hole does not get too big; otherwise, the back
of the housing cannot be mounted on the wall holder.
• Replace the circuit board and secure it with the screw (4) that you
removed earlier.
• Guide the connection cable through the hole drilled earlier (A).
b) Connection
Screw terminals "DC12 V +/-"
Connect these two screw terminals with the voltage/power supply,
e.g. from a suitable alarm system. Pay attention to the correct po-
larity.
Screw terminals "TAMPER N.C."
This is a potential-free tamper contact. When opening the housing, the contact is interrupted so
that a connected alarm system can trigger an alarm.
The maximum contact rating is 12 V/DC, 50 mA.
Screw terminals "ALARM"
This is a potential-free relay contact. Using the jumper "MODE P/S" (2), the function can be
toggled between operation as NC contact (opener) and NO contact (closer).
The relay contact is triggered when the motion detector detects a heat change in the detection
range.
The maximum contact rating is 24 V/DC, 100 mA.
c) Setting jumpers
Jumper "LED ON/OFF" (1)
Position "ON"
The LED is illuminated when a movement was detected in the detec-
tion range or when the housing is opened and the tamper contact is
triggered.
Position "OFF"
The LED is on continuously. This can be used when when the activa-
tion process (when a heat change is detected in the detection range)
of the motion detector should not be visible in the dark.
Position "30 MIN"
T he LED flashes for 2 mins during the power up delay, then goes to
walk-test mode for 30 mins for the installer to perform the walk-test;
after that the LED turns OFF automatically. LED auto-off is preferred
by system installers who prefer not to re-open the PIR sensor box to
set the jumper back to the OFF position to disable the LED after the
walk-test.
Jumper "MODE P/S" (2)
Position "S"
The motion detector is activated immediately in the event of a heat
change.
Position "P"
The motion detector is only activated if a second heat change is de-
tected within 10 seconds inside the detection range. This setting can
be used, for example, when the motion detector is erroneously acti-
vated due to the existing environmental conditions.
Jumper "ALARM" (3)
Position "N.C."
The screw terminals "ALARM" function as NC contact (opener). The
contact is opened when the motion detector detect a heat change in
the detection range.
Position "N.O."
The screw terminals "ALARM" function as NO contact (closer). The
contact is closed when the motion detector detect a heat change in
the detection range.
d) Startup
• When you have connected all cables and
made all settings, place the front of the hous-
ing while paying attention to its correct position
and screw it tight.
• Align the motion detector to the desired detec-
tion range.
• Switch on the voltage/power supply.
Then, it will take about 2 minutes until the PIR sensor have adjusted to the ambient temper-
ature of the detection area.
D uring this time, the red LED (5) flashes if it is switched on ("ON") via the jumper
"LED ON/OFF" (1).
After these 2 minutes, the motion detector is ready for operation and switches the
relay when it detects heat changes in the detection range.

Maintenance and Cleaning

The product is maintenance-free. Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a spe-
cialist.
You can use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the lens of the PIR
sensor.
Do not use aggressive, chemical or scouring cleaning agents, as this may lead to discoloura-
tion or changes in the material on the surface.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance
with applicable regulatory guidelines. You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and
contribute to the protection of the environment.
