POSITIONING OF THE SMOKE ALARM

WHERE TO PLACE THE SMOKE DETECTOR
For reinforced protection:
• Place a detector in each room except kitchen and bathroom
• Place a detector on each floor, close to sleeping areas (for
example in the corridor leading to bedrooms. For a long corri-
dor > 10m, place a detector on each side).
POSITIONING OF THE DETECTOR
The detector is best positioned in the center of the room on the
ceiling, and in all cases :
• Over 20 cm away from obstacles (wall, separation, beam, ...).
• Over 60 cm away from room corners.
If not possible, install your detector on the wall:
• 15 to 25 cm from the ceiling.
• Over 60 cm away from room corners.
If you install your NOXE «Lumens» in the suspended lamp base
configuration, be sure to leave at least 30cm cable and clea-
rance between the smoke detector and the lamp shade.
! Important : Do not place your detector in the following :
• Bathrooms, laundry rooms, or any confined, humid room
where condensation may occur
• Kitchens, garages with low air circulation, and all rooms
where fumes and smoke occur in normal conditions
• Attic and other places where temperature may drop below
0°C or exceed 45°C
