· The appliance may be used by children over the age of 8 and by persons with a physical,
sensory or mental impairment, as well as by inexperienced persons, if they are under
supervision. They should have received an introduction to how to use the appliance for
this purpose and be aware of the risks of use. The appliance is not a toy. Children should
not clean the appliance or do maintenance or repair work on it unless they are over the
age of 8 and are being supervised.
· The heating cables operate with extra-low voltage of 12 V. They may only be used with a
matching JBL transformer. Connect the heating cables to the mains directly will destroy
them and may cause them to catch fire.
· Make sure that the voltage indicated on the transformer corresponds to the mains volt-
age.
· Before using the appliance for the first time, make sure it has been installed safely.
· Before any work is done on the transformer, the power supply must be disconnected by
pulling the mains plug. The plug should never be pulled out of the socket by the cable.
Always hold the plug when disconnecting.
· Never install the transformer above the water level.
· The appliance should not be used for any purpose other than its intended purpose. The
use of accessories or parts not recommended by the manufacturer can lead to hazard-
ous situations and a loss of warranty.
· PLEASE NOTE: Prior to carrying out maintenance work, make sure to disconnect all of the
electrical appliances in the aquarium.
· If the power cable of the device is damaged, avoid hazards by having it replaced by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer service or a person of similar qualification.
· Do not place the transformer near any sources of heat.
· Avoid electric shock by never immersing the appliance, mains plug or mains cable in
water or any other liquid.
· Do not open the transformer.
